What will people’s medical scene look like in the foreseeable future? New technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of Things, and 5G are deeply empowering the medical field and providing great convenience to people’s lives.
A few days ago, at the 2019 China International Intelligent Industry Expo in Chongqing, the author truly experienced a “technical style” of future medical care. “5G + smart medical care”, smart medical insurance, 3D printing, intelligent robots, etc., while opening people’s eyes, they can’t help but have more beautiful visions for more intelligent medical scenarios in the future.
In front of China Mobile’s exhibition hall, the “5G ambulance system” left a deep impression on the author. Based on the 5G network, the ambulance is equipped with a variety of data collection equipment and emergency equipment, and the hospital can get in touch with the patient at the first time, obtain patient information, and make decisions remotely.
In the process where every second counts, it is the time when 5G will show its prowess. Before that, limited by the speed of data transmission, it was difficult for ambulances to provide patient information to hospital doctors in real time during driving. The high speed and low latency of 5G communication technology can solve this problem very well. At the same time, platforms such as China Unicom’s “Nursing Mobile” and “Out-of-Hospital Continued Nursing” that apply artificial intelligence technology have brought the advantages of AI speech recognition to the extreme.
At the exhibition site, the author also saw a lot of intelligent robots used in the rehabilitation industry, which can also make up for the shortcoming of the current shortage of rehabilitation medical staff in my country to a certain extent. Taking a multi-position intelligent rehabilitation robot system that surrounded many audiences on Display as an example, the patient can stand in the tall and mighty bionic designed exoskeleton robot, and the robot can imitate the gait process of normal walking, thereby driving The patient’s lower extremity exercise helps the patient’s walking function recovery.
Robots can obviously do much more than that. In June this year, Tian Wei, president of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital and chief scientist of the “Tianji” orthopedic surgical robot, performed the world’s first multi-center 5G remote surgery for an orthopedic surgical robot. Doctors from Hebei and Xinjiang worked together to successfully complete the operation for the patient.
From Chongqing to Beijing, the time is slightly moved forward. At the 2019 World Robot Conference held in Beijing, the author also saw many medical robots with multiple capabilities. Surgical robots, rehabilitation robots, companion or elderly-care robots… Needless to say, the powerful capabilities are more gratifying. It is the diversity of scenarios involved, and it really starts from the perspective of the most important “people” in medical services. Think about solutions for medical needs and provide corresponding intelligent products.
All in all, smart medical care is indeed a “revolutionary upgrade” of traditional medical and health informatization. It not only comprehensively improves the technical capabilities and service levels in the medical field, but will also become an important tool to promote the construction of a healthy China. The trend of more applications in the field of intelligent medical care is becoming more and more obvious. Technology is good, and technology creates a better life. This of course deserves our fuller confidence, because what is hidden here is the future of human medical care and a new answer sheet for solving human health problems.
